「舍利弗當知」下，第三、明釋迦歡喜受勸。就文為二：初一偈，明歡喜詶上諸佛稱歎；次偈，明受勸詶上諸佛獎勸也。「南無」者，歸命也，救我也。歸命者以命歸投十方諸佛也。諸佛獎勸說於三乘，則延眾生慧命，便是延釋迦命，是故釋迦以命歸投諸佛；諸佛勸說三乘，既是救濟眾生，即是救濟釋迦，故稱救我也。

From "Śāriputra, you should know" onward is the third part: clarifying Śākyamuni joyfully accepting the encouragement. In the text there are two parts: the first verse clarifies his joy in response to the praise and extolment of the Buddhas above; the next verse clarifies his accepting the encouragement in response to the exhortation of the Buddhas above. "Namo" means taking refuge with one's life, or saving me. "Taking refuge with one's life" means dedicating one's life to the Buddhas of the ten directions. When the Buddhas exhort and encourage the preaching of the triyāna, they extend the wisdom-life of sentient beings, which is precisely extending Śākyamuni's life; therefore, Śākyamuni dedicates his life to the Buddhas. Since the Buddhas' encouragement to preach the triyāna rescues sentient beings, it is precisely rescuing Śākyamuni; hence, he says, "Save me."
