「其劫名大寶莊嚴」下，第四、明時節果。釋迦名賢劫，賢者善也。此劫內有千佛善人出世，從化主立名故稱賢劫。今從所化菩薩受稱故名大寶，不以珠碧為珍，但用賢哲為寶。

From “The kalpa is named Great Jewel Adornment” onwards is fourth: explaining the fruit of the season. Śākyamuni's [kalpa] is named the Bhadrakalpa (Wise Kalpa); ‘bhadra’ means good. Within this kalpa there are a thousand Buddhas, good persons, who appear in the world; because its name is established from the transforming masters, it is called the Bhadrakalpa. Here, receiving its designation from the transformed bodhisattvas, it is named Great Jewel; it does not take pearls or jade as treasures, but takes only sages and worthies as jewels.
