5.98

「世尊說實道」下，第二、結於邪正。所以結正者，為令時眾識一乘是佛說非魔說也。上半明佛有實、魔無實，即判有無也。下半結於是非也。「我墮疑網故」者，第三、此半偈身子引過歸已自悔責也。

From "The World-Honoured One speaks the real Way" onward: second, concluding on the false and the true. The reason he concluded with the true was to cause the assembly of the time to recognize that the ekayāna was spoken by the Buddha and not spoken by Māra. The upper half clarifies that the Buddha possesses reality while Māra lacks reality; that is, distinguishing existence and nonexistence. The lower half concludes on right and wrong. "Because I fell into a net of doubt": third, this half-verse is Śāriputra attributing the fault to himself and reproaching himself.
