From "Bhaiṣajyarāja, I in other lands" onward is the third, explaining the benefits. By understanding the teaching that is propagated and also mastering the method of propagating the teaching, one then evokes auspicious omens, which are benefits. The reason for citing wondrous omens is to encourage and exhort those who propagate the sūtra. There are four matters in total: first, dispatching transformed assemblies; second, dispatching real assemblies; third, seeing the Buddha's body; fourth, regaining memory of the Dharma. Dispatching transformed assemblies is to make offerings to the Dharma master, to guide real people, and to provisionally protect the Dharma master. Dispatching real assemblies also possesses the three meanings, and further causes the real assemblies to attain benefit. Seeing the Buddha's body from time to time: if a person who propagates the sūtra is constantly in correct contemplation, they will constantly see the Buddha's body. Thus the Avataṃsaka Sūtra says: "All dharmas are unborn, all dharmas are unceasing; if one can understand thus, the Buddhas are constantly present before one." But practitioners cannot constantly be in correct contemplation, hence from time to time they get to see the Buddha's body.
