釋名者，趣求進習名學，進習止滿名無學。今佛與彼記，名授學無學人記品。

Explaining the title: striving toward and training in practice is called 'training' (śaikṣa); having brought training in practice to fulfillment and cessation is called 'beyond training' (aśaikṣa). Now the Buddha confers prophecies upon them, hence it is titled 'Chapter on the Bestowal of Prophecy on Those in Training and Beyond Training.'
