Among the listing of the asura assembly, someone cites the Āgama-sūtra: "An Ābhāsvara deva entered the ocean, and his semen flowed into the ocean, subsequently forming an egg; after eight thousand years a female asura was born, whose body was like Mount Sumeru, with one less than a thousand heads. Water touched the female's body and gave birth to Vemacitrin, whose form was four times that of his mother, with nine heads, eight legs, and one less than a thousand arms; he married a Gandharva girl from the Fragrant Mountains and fathered Śacī." This is a citation in the sūtra discussing non-Buddhist doctrines; otherwise, since the desire devas do not even have impure semen, how could an Ābhāsvara deva have semen flowing forth?
