論曰：此下大分第二方便勝利。於中有四：一者得果勝利、二者得供勝利、三者無患勝利、四者無住勝利。此即第一得果勝利。初中亦有四種勝利：一者離邊勝利，不墮道俗二邊相故，如經「如是之人不在二相，雖不出家不住在家」故。二者自在勝利，不為教門戒律所制，能以自心決判道理，蕭然無為而無不為故，如經「雖無法服乃至而獲聖果」故。三者入道勝利，如經「不住二乘，入菩薩道」故。四者得果勝利，如經「後當滿地成佛菩提」故。

The commentary states: Below, this is the second major division, the benefits of skillful means. Within this, there are four: first, the benefit of attaining the fruit; second, the benefit of receiving offerings; third, the benefit of freedom from afflictions; fourth, the benefit of non-abiding. This is the first, the benefit of attaining the fruit. Within the first, there are also four kinds of benefits: First is the benefit of departing from extremes, because one does not fall into the two extreme marks of the religious and the secular, as the sūtra states, 'such a person does not dwell in the two marks; although they do not leave home, they do not remain at home.' Second is the benefit of autonomy, because one is not restrained by the precepts and rules of the doctrinal teachings, and is able to determine principle and reality by one's own mind, serenely doing nothing and yet leaving nothing undone, as the sūtra states, 'even though they lack the Dharma robes... and yet attain the holy fruition.' Third is the benefit of entering the path, as the sūtra states, 'not remaining in the two vehicles, they enter the bodhisattva path.' Fourth is the benefit of attaining the fruit, as the sūtra states, 'and later, having fulfilled the grounds, they will accomplish the awakening of a Buddha.'
