3.62

經曰　佛言：「長者！不可思議。我說諸法，為迷者故、方便道故，一切法相一實義智。何以故？譬如一市開四大門，是四門中皆歸一市，如彼眾庶隨意所入，種種法味亦復如是。」

The sūtra says: The Buddha said, “Elder! It is inconceivable. When I speak of the various dharmas, it is for the sake of those who are confused, for the sake of the path of skillful means; the characteristics of all dharmas are the cognition of the one real meaning. Why is this? It is like a single marketplace opening four great gates: from within these four gates, all return to the single marketplace. Just as the multitude enters as they wish, so too are the various tastes of the Dharma.”
