第九或九部攝者，謂除因緣、譬喻、論義，以涅槃第三說護大乘者受持九部，除前三故。

Ninth, or being subsumed under nine divisions: namely, excluding nidāna (causes and conditions), avadāna (parables), and upadeśa (discussions), because the third fascicle of the Mahāparinirvāṇa Sūtra states that protectors of the Mahāyāna uphold nine divisions, excluding the previous three.
