1.68

一江南印師、敏師等，多以因果為宗。謂此經中廣明菩薩行位之因及顯所成佛果勝德，下文所說不離此二，故以為宗。

First, Master Yin, Master Min, and others of the Jiangnan region mostly took cause and effect as the central theme. They said that this sūtra broadly clarifies the cause of the stages of bodhisattva practice and reveals the superior virtues of the achieved fruit of Buddhahood; what is expounded in the subsequent text does not depart from these two, and hence they took them as the central theme.
