16.25

二依持門者，一行證理成，即以理為性、行成為起，此約菩薩位，以凡位有性而無起故。二證圓成果，即理行為性、果成為起，此約佛自德。三理行圓成之果為性、赴感應機之用為起，是即理行徹至果用，故起唯性起也。

Second, the section on reliance and support: (1) When practice realizes principle and is completed, principle is the nature and the completion of practice is the manifestation; this is discussed in terms of the bodhisattva stage, because ordinary beings have the nature but lack the manifestation. (2) When realization is perfected into the fruit, principle and practice are the nature, and the completion of the fruit is the manifestation; this is discussed in terms of the Buddha's own virtues. (3) The fruit of the perfection of principle and practice is the nature, and the function of responding to prompts and according with capacities is the manifestation; here, principle and practice penetrate through to the fruit's function, so manifestation is exclusively nature manifestation.
