Fourth, from 'the devakanyā answered' onward reveals her own dharmadhātu, which has four parts: first, indicating the name and essence of the dharma; second, revealing the deep roots of the dharma; third, explaining the karmic functions of the dharma; fourth, concluding with her own portion. First, 'attaining bodhisattva liberation' distinguishes the dharma by the person. Unlike the Buddha's liberation, liberation is itself the Dharma gate. Being named 'unobstructed mindfulness' means that whatever is recollected unfailingly manifests, which is called unobstructed. What is recollected is distinct, which is called pure. Mindfulness of the Buddha's realm possessing virtues is called adornment. It takes the knowledge of recollecting past lives as its essence. Second, from 'Good son, I recollect the past' onward explains that the roots of the dharma are deep and firm. Therein are two: first, explaining the Buddhas to whom offerings were made, having three parts: first, recollecting within the Utpala Kalpa, first generally explaining making offerings to Buddhas; second, from 'further, in that' onward distinctly recording the eight aspects, with the power of mindfulness being distinct; second, from 'further recollecting' onward briefly listing the Buddhas offered to in nine kalpas; third, from 'Good son' onward summarizes constantly not being separated from Buddhas throughout kalpas like the sands of the Ganges. Second, from 'all those' onward explains the Dharma gates attained, which has two parts: first, generally mentioning what was attained; second, from 'accepting and maintaining' onward explains practicing, cultivating, and clarifying it. Third, within explaining the karmic functions from 'such prior kalpas' onward, it means that through this power of mindfulness she recollects the former kalpas and the Buddhas' teachings, distinctly manifest before her without any dark obstacle; hence it is established with this name. Fourth, from 'I only' onward concludes her own portion. Fifth, looking up with deferral is understood. The spiritual friend of the power of mindfulness is concluded.
