5.14

二來意者，前明如來昇天將欲說法，必有所被機緣，故次來也。又前明果德臨機，今因力助化，先主後伴，義次第故。

Second, as for the purpose of its placement: previously it was clarified that the Tathāgata ascended to heaven about to expound the Dharma, and there must be receptive conditions to be covered; therefore it follows next. Furthermore, previously the virtue of the fruit approaching the receptive was elucidated, and now the power of the cause assists conversion; first the host and then the companions, following the sequence of meaning.
