八見聞故者，謂示此一乘無盡自在具足主伴無礙法門，令物見聞，成解脫分金剛種故。如〈性起品〉說。

Eighth, "to enable seeing and hearing": this means demonstrating this unimpeded Dharma gate of the inexhaustible, sovereign, complete host and retinue of the One Vehicle, causing beings to see and hear it, so as to form the adamantine seed of the factor conducive to liberation, as spoken of in the Chapter on the Arising of the Tathāgata Nature.
