11.44

疏「如一持多依」下，二例多持一依也。多是能起，能為緣故。一是所起，是所成故。

From the Commentary's "Just as the one supports and the many depend…" onward, the second part draws the analogy of the many supporting and the one depending. The many is that which brings about, because it can serve as condition. The one is that which is brought about, because it is that which is constituted.
