25.31

疏「二有三頌說法果」者，此有二意：一說法即果，對上說因，詺為說果。二稱根令喜，是說法果。今具二意，謂具功德光明廣大勝力等，即說法因。今能遍說，即是說果。是初意也。二由上遍說勝法，能度眾生，即是後義，以稱根故。

Regarding the Commentary's statement, "The second has three verses explaining the fruit of expounding the Dharma": this has two senses. First, expounding the Dharma is itself the fruit; set in contrast with the prior explanation of the cause, it is termed explaining the fruit. Second, fitting faculties to bring joy is the fruit of expounding the Dharma. Here, both senses are present: possessing merit, radiance, vast and superior power, and so forth, is the cause of expounding the Dharma; being able to expound everywhere is the fruit of expounding. This is the first sense. Second, because through the aforementioned omnipresent exposition of the superior Dharma one is able to deliver sentient beings, this is the latter meaning, for it accords with [their] faculties.
