59.63

疏「二離起因」者，其受畜因，畜則行殺，為受畜因。有未必殺，此則猶疎，故名為緣。其貪等惑，起殺則親，故名為因。

Regarding the commentary's phrase "Second, abandoning the originating causes": receiving and raising animals is a cause, because raising them leads to killing them, making it the cause for receiving and raising them. Yet it does not necessarily result in killing, so this is still indirect and is therefore called a condition. The defilements such as greed directly give rise to killing, and are therefore called causes.
