61.61

疏「大乘之中」下，二約大乘，謂縱生無色，亦唯滅想。先正釋、後「若超色相」下，以例反成。謂生識處不滅於空，生無所有不滅於識，何生空處而滅色耶？斯理善成。

Under the Commentary's "Within the Mahāyāna," the second is in terms of the Mahāyāna, meaning that even if born into the formless realm, one also only extinguishes notions. First the correct explanation; then under "If transcending the characteristics of form," establishing it through inverse analogy. That is, being born into the station of [infinite] consciousness does not extinguish space, and being born into [the station of] nothingness does not extinguish consciousness; why then should being born into the station of space extinguish form? This principle is well established.
