疏「論主從勝」等者，佛菩薩處勝諸穢處。「及自利」者，為滿自利菩提分故，近佛菩薩。若約利他，《瑜伽》、《地持》皆云「隨他見已生道法處」。故今疏云「不揀淨穢」，能滿二利菩提分處即生其中。

Regarding the commentary's 'The treatise master follows the superior,' and so forth, the places of Buddhas and bodhisattvas are superior to all defiled places. 'And self-benefit' means being near Buddhas and bodhisattvas in order to fulfill the bodhipakkhiyadharmas of self-benefit. In terms of benefiting others, both the Yogācārabhūmi and the Bodhisattvabhūmi state, 'Wherever, upon being seen by others, dharmas of the path are generated.' Therefore, the present commentary says 'not selecting between pure and defiled'; wherever the bodhipakkhiyadharmas of the two benefits can be fulfilled, one is reborn therein.
