63.123

疏「五四無色定治妄修解脫」者，外道以彼為涅槃故。今能入之，示其謬計。此經論中唯說世間為內明者，經明隨順世間智故。

Regarding the commentary's phrase, "fifth, the four formless absorptions counteract the delusive cultivation of liberation": this is because non-Buddhists take them to be nirvāṇa. Now being able to enter them, one reveals their mistaken assumptions. In this sūtra and treatise, mundane knowledge is spoken of as inner knowledge solely because the sūtra clarifies knowledge that accords with the mundane.
