63.27

疏「起報恩心果」，疏文有二：先對三地明報恩義，則通對狹小；後「上希求」下，即近對護小乘中護小心也。疏先別明、後總結。亦可別明是報恩行，總結三心是報恩德。

On the commentary's "fruit of giving rise to the thought of repaying kindness": the commentary text has two parts. First, it clarifies the meaning of repaying kindness in contrast to the third ground, which broadly contrasts with narrowness. Second, from "above, aspiring to seek" onward, it directly contrasts with the guarding of a small mind within guarding against the Small Vehicle. The commentary first clarifies this individually and then concludes generally. Alternatively, the individual clarification constitutes the practice of repaying kindness, and the general conclusion of the three minds constitutes the virtue of repaying kindness.
