70.19

疏「第二正說」，文三：一總科；二「四中初一」下，會三心；三「然第八地中」下，顯地別相。此是論文，亦是通難。恐有難云：第八地中於三世間已得自在，普與眾生身心同事，復能多身多音說法利樂眾生。何以此地方名法師有說成等。故為此通。從「成就一切相」下，辨勝過劣。

Regarding the Commentary's statement, "Second, the main exposition," the text has three parts: first, a general rubric; second, below "the first of the four," collating the three minds; third, below "however, on the eighth ground," revealing the distinct characteristics of the ground. This is the treatise text, and it also resolves a difficulty. Lest someone raise the objection: "On the eighth ground one has already attained mastery over the three realms, universally shares bodily and mental actions together with sentient beings, and can further expound the Dharma with multiple bodies and multiple voices to benefit and gladden sentient beings; why is it that only on this ground is one named a Dharma master who possesses exposition, accomplishment, and so forth?" Hence this resolution is made. From "accomplishing all characteristics" downward, it distinguishes superior from inferior.
