Regarding the commentary's "Why? Because of grasping according to words" and what follows, the second section is an interrogation explaining [the reason]. Within the explanation there are three parts: the opening sentence briefly indicates [the premise], which is also spoken with respect to cognition. Thus Master [Won]hyo said: "If one grasps according to words, all that is spoken is mistaken; if one discourses having grasped the idea, all that is spoken is correct." The Daśabhūmika-śāstra states: "Grasping meaning according to words entails five faults. If one does not grasp and attach, real, non-real, and so forth all accord with principle." Therefore the Madhyamakaśāstra states: "All dharmas are real, all dharmas are unreal, both real and unreal, neither real nor unreal—such is termed the Dharma of all buddhas." Thus truth, falsity, and so forth are in each case like this, none failing to be appropriate.
