1.25

一種入道方便同者，《維摩經》云「夫求法者，於一切法應無所求」，及「觀身實相，觀佛亦然。我觀如來，前際不來、後際不去、今即無住」等，是初觀智門略同。於入道行相、門戶次第軌則全別，廣如下明。

Regarding the identity in a single expedient for entering the path: The Vimalakīrtinirdeśa Sūtra states, 'Now, one who seeks the Dharma should seek nothing in all dharmas,' and 'Contemplating the true mark of the body, contemplate the Buddha likewise. When I contemplate the Tathāgata, he does not come from the past, does not go into the future, and right now does not abide,' and so forth; these are roughly the same as the initial gate of contemplative wisdom. Yet in the forms of practice, the steps through the gates, and the rules for entering the path, they are entirely different, as will be extensively explained below.
