Tenth, within the solitary park [of Anāthapiṇḍada], he emitted the fruit-light of the ūrṇā between his eyebrows, clarifying that the cause and effect of the above stages were already accomplished, and this Dharma is again used to benefit sentient beings. In the 'Chapter on Entering the Dharmadhātu', humans, devas, ordinary people, six thousand bhikṣus, five hundred upāsakas, five hundred upāsikās, five hundred boys and girls, and others are all made to attain the Way and achieve Buddhahood through this gate. The other extensive meanings will be explained further below. Above are the ten emissions of light, within each of which the symbolic meaning has its own defined scope. This sūtra's emissions of light are complete, symbolizing that the virtues are fully and completely perfected; all ten pervade the dharmadhātu. They are unlike the lights emitted by transformation buddhas, who, when preaching a sūtra, might emit light once or from the whole body. Never has there been one like this sūtra, which completely spans beginning to end, each and every virtue being complete in all ten. Simply speaking of ten signifies that the complete virtues are inexhaustible, because ten is the number of perfection.
