Seventh, in this city there is an elder named Prabhūtamāla (Miyue), which indicates that the elder here integrates the signless wisdom gate of the sixth [ground] with the pāramitā of skillful means into a single essence. This shows that the signless wisdom gate of the three voids of the sixth ground prior to the ten grounds is supramundane liberation; while the serene wisdom gate of the three voids in the eleventh ground after the ten grounds is dwelling in the world, accomplishing the seventh pāramitā of skillful means, which is of one essence and non-dual with great compassion. It is born from the illusory wisdom of the mother of great compassion. In this ultimate ground, just as the sixth and seventh stages blend together within the ten abodes and ten grounds, so in this eleventh ground the sixth and seventh stages harmonize into one essence; one must understand that the pattern of advanced progress is like this. Sudhana went to him, paid homage, prostrated, and requested what he sought. The elder Prabhūtamāla said, "I only know this liberation of the radiance of pure wisdom," which is Prabhūtamāla named according to his virtue. The light of compassionate wisdom has the meaning of destroying delusion, because it destroys the delusions of mundane beings. He is named on account of destroying delusion to benefit beings through compassion; this indicates that the three voids, compassion, and pure wisdom are completely integrated in essence and function.
