1.39

經曰「總攝魔界」至「莫不歸伏」者，述云：此後、別釋伏魔也。由放光故，總攝魔界莫不歸伏。由動震故，動魔宮殿無非慴怖。慴（倚葉反），畏也，攝身之貌也。

The sūtra says: from "completely subsuming the realms of Māra" up to "none did not submit and yield." The commentary states: This subsequent part specifically explains the subduing of Māra. Because of emitting light, completely subsuming the realms of Māra, none did not submit and yield. Because of the shaking and vibrating, disturbing the palaces of Māra, none was not terrified. 'Terrified' (慴, reading *she*) means fear; it is the appearance of withdrawing the body.
