On the sūtra passage from "Furthermore, the bodhi tree of Amitāyus" to "manifesting in accordance with what is fitting": The Commentary states: The second part distinguishes the bodhi tree. There are three parts: here in the first is the substance and characteristics of the bodhi tree. One *li* is three hundred paces, so four million *li* is twelve myriad yojanas, which was accomplished in response to the preceding vow that bodhisattvas may see the place of enlightenment with little effort. Some say: in accordance with that Buddha's height of sixty myriad koṭis of nayutas of Gaṅgā sands of yojanas, by the Buddha's spiritual power, even a small bodhi tree does not cause any obstruction. If so, the remaining palaces would not each match the size of their forms. Now, since that Buddha's size in the sūtra is a body of enjoyment for others, this bodhi tree belongs to the transformation land, and so they do not contradict each other. Twenty myriad *li* would be six thousand yojanas, which would not match its original measure. Furthermore, another version says "two million *li*," which is probably correct.
