經曰「萬二千那由他人」至「漏盡意解」者，述云：此次、聲聞益也。法眼淨者，即預流果也。漏盡者，障盡。意解者，智滿。眾聞此方穢惡可厭，故得聲聞之果。

The sūtra states: "Twelve thousand nayutas of people" down to "their outflows were extinguished and their minds liberated." The commentary states: Next is the benefit for the śrāvakas. "Purification of the Dharma-eye" refers to the fruit of stream-entry. "Outflows extinguished" means their obstacles were exhausted. "Minds liberated" means their wisdom was perfected. The assembly heard that the defilement and evil of this world are to be reviled, and therefore attained the fruits of śrāvakas.
