"‘If one attains samādhi, one sees the ground of that land with complete clarity; it cannot be fully described. This is the contemplation of the ground, and is called the third contemplation.’" "Samādhi" is correctly pronounced samādhi, which is translated here as "correct concentration" (samādhi) or "equipoise" (samāpatti). When the contemplation is accomplished and one sees the ground, without having to apply conscious effort one naturally accords with it, seeing the object with clarity. It is like someone learning archery: awkward at first and skillful later, so that whenever an arrow is released, none fails to hit the mark. It is beyond words and thought, known only through personal realization; hence it is said, "it cannot be fully described." Third, showing the benefits, in two parts: first, re-entrusting for dissemination; second, directly showing the benefits. First, re-entrusting for dissemination.
