「佛告阿難：『汝好持是語。持是語者，即是持無量壽佛名。』」意令對說，持名功大，持經亦然。四、眾聞歡喜。

"The Buddha told Ānanda: ‘Uphold these words well. To uphold these words is to uphold the name of the Buddha Amitāyus.’" The intention is to have it expounded in contrast: upholding the name has great merit, and upholding the sūtra is likewise so. Fourth, the assembly's joy upon hearing it.
