From here, the fifth part next explains persons of the specific mindfulness foundations. These persons also possess the two meanings of regression and abiding; the text briefly omits distinguishing them. Within this, first saying "having practiced, next attains the four mindfulness foundations" repeats what precedes to initiate what follows. "Body, feeling, mind, and dharmas" lists their four names. Contemplating the form aggregate separately is the mindfulness foundation of the body; contemplating the feeling aggregate separately is the mindfulness foundation of feeling; the consciousness aggregate is the mind; and perception and mental formations are dharmas; hence they are called specific. This meaning is extensively explained as in the chapter on the factors of the path.
