次觀受果，於中初先結前生後，下正觀察。文別有三：一觀受生縛，謂能招苦、斷滅善根；二能生解脫；三明觀利益，除因離果。「作是觀時不作受因」略明觀益。下廣顯之，先問、後辨。「何受作愛」推受所生，「何愛生受」推愛所生，「若能深」下明觀利益。

Next is contemplation of the fruits of sensation, wherein he first concludes the preceding and introduces what follows, and below directly contemplates. The text has three distinct parts: 1. Contemplating that sensation produces bondage, meaning that it can bring about suffering and cut off good roots; 2. It can produce liberation; 3. Explaining the benefits of contemplation: removing the cause and departing from the fruit. "When making this contemplation, one does not make a cause for sensation" briefly explains the benefit of contemplation. Below, he reveals it broadly, first questioning and then distinguishing: "What sensation produces craving?" infers what is produced by sensation; "what craving produces sensation?" infers what is produced by craving; from "if one can deeply..." downward explains the benefits of contemplation.
