文中有二：一辯經名德勸人受持使到經岸、二迦葉領解。前中復三：第一總舉經名功德，勸令受持；二「聞是經名生四趣」下彰益勸持，此即明得世間安樂；三「所得功德我今說」下辯德教持，此即明得出世安樂。

Within the text there are two parts: first, distinguishing the merits of the sūtra's name to urge people to receive and uphold it so as to reach the sūtra's shore; second, Kāśyapa's assimilation and understanding. Within the first, there are again three: first, generally presenting the merit of the sūtra's name to urge people to receive and uphold it; second, from “if one hears the name of this sūtra and is born in the four destinies” downward, revealing the benefit to urge upholding it, which clarifies the attainment of mundane peace and bliss; third, from “the merit attained I shall now speak” downward, distinguishing the virtues to teach upholding it, which clarifies the attainment of supramundane peace and bliss.
