下廣顯之，於中有四：一「觀弟子有諸檀越」，重物即遮，無則聽畜；二「雖無檀越」，豐時即遮，儉時聽畜；三「雖儉時不為護法」，如來則遮，為護聽畜；四雖護法不依淨施，如來則遮，淨施聽畜。於此四中，如來所遮名為說重、如來所聽名為說輕。「如是四法所應依止」結明可依。

Below, it explains this extensively, in which there are four [points]: first, "observing that the disciples have donors," grave items are prohibited immediately, but if they have none, they are permitted to keep them; second, "although they have no donors," in times of plenty they are prohibited immediately, but in times of scarcity they are permitted to keep them; third, "although in times of scarcity, if it is not for protecting the Dharma," the Tathāgata prohibits it, but if it is for protecting [the Dharma], he permits keeping them; fourth, although it is for protecting the Dharma, if one does not rely on pure donation, the Tathāgata prohibits it, but with pure donation, he permits keeping them. Among these four, that which the Tathāgata prohibits is termed "explaining as grave," and that which the Tathāgata permits is termed "explaining as light." "Such four dharmas should be relied upon" concludes by clarifying what can be relied upon.
