就初段中，「我般涅槃七百歲後」明壞法時，「是魔波旬」舉壞法人，「漸壞我法」，正明壞法。「譬如」已下明壞法相，先喻、後合。二中，初總、次別、後結。

In the first section, "Seven hundred years after my parinirvāṇa" clarifies the time of the corruption of the Dharma; "this Māra Pāpīyān" adduces the person who corrupts the Dharma; "will gradually corrupt my Dharma" directly clarifies the corruption of the Dharma. From "For example..." downward clarifies the characteristics of the corruption of the Dharma, first by metaphor and then by applying it. In the latter, first is the general, next the particular, and finally the conclusion.
