合中但合後之兩段，初段在於第二聞之憐笑中合，更無別合。合第二中，「四人如是」合異國王，「為法大將」釋為王義，依化不並故言「四中」。「或有一人見」合聞也。

In the application, it only applies the latter two passages; the first passage is applied within the second, in hearing of it and pitying and laughing, with no separate application. In applying the second, "the four persons are like this" corresponds to the king of a different country; "serving as great generals of the Dharma" explains the meaning of being a king; because the reliance and conversion are not concurrent, it says "among the four." "Or there is one person who sees" corresponds to hearing.
