In the verse supplication, the text contains seven verses: the first six are the actual supplication, and the last one is the concluding supplication. Within the actual supplication: the first verse versifies the aforementioned seventh [point], being fully endowed with all powers, to make the supplication; next, three verses versify the aforementioned fifth and sixth [points], ordinary beings and non-Buddhists supposing he undergoes extinction, to make the supplication, wherein the first verse explains that all ordinary beings see the transformation and suppose it to be real, the middle verse explains that they do not see the real, and the third verse brings up the noble to reveal the ordinary; the last two verses versify the aforementioned second and fourth [points], cultivating vows and practices free from illness over vast kalpas, to make the supplication. "The World-Honoured Ones of the three times take great compassion as their root" brings up the Buddha's original cause; "Where is such kindness and compassion now?" interrogates the present by means of the past: now abandoning sentient beings to enter parinirvāṇa seems to lack kindness and compassion, hence it says "Where is it?"; "If one lacks great compassion, one is not called a buddha" evaluates the person according to his practice; "If the Buddha enters nirvāṇa, he is not called permanent" interrogates the real by means of the manifested. In the concluding supplication below, the first three lines conclude for other people, and the last two lines conclude for non-Buddhists.
