Within the first, 'If the mind were permanent, the eye-consciousness should exclusively take support on all dharmas' refutes their conceptualisation of permanence: if permanent it would not cease, and therefore it should exclusively take support on all dharmas. It for now probes the eye-consciousness, and the rest are omitted from discussion. From 'The eye-consciousness is different' below reveals impermanence itself; from 'Because dharmas are similar and arise thought-moment by thought-moment' below explains the reason why those ordinary persons conceptualise permanence.
