上來第二如來破遣，自下文殊彰問所為，自解為他，「我於無義非為不達」彰已解也，「所以問」下明為他也，「我久知」下顯已解相。

The preceding was the second [section], in which the Tathāgata refutes and dispels [these marks]. From here below, Mañjuśrī clarifies the purpose of his question, explaining that he himself understands and [spoke only] for the sake of others: 'It is not that I fail to penetrate the meaning of non-abiding' clarifies that he himself already understands; from 'The reason I asked' onward explains that it was for the sake of others; from 'I have long known' onward reveals the mark of his own understanding.
