From here below is the second [part], explaining the meaning in the previous sūtra that while the world does not know, the bodhisattva is able to know, which is different from the world. Kāśyapa first inquires: "As the Buddha stated, all the world does not know, see, or perceive, but the bodhisattva is able to" cites the Buddha's past words. Below, based on these words, he interrogates both alternatives: First, he asks, if the bodhisattva belongs to the world, one should not say that the world does not know while the bodhisattva can know. Next, he asks, if the bodhisattva does not belong to the world, what kind of difference is there?
