The Buddha's answer has two parts: First, he explains that the bodhisattva is of the world and not of the world; second, from "What you said" onward, he discriminates the meaning of identity with and difference from the world. In the former, "the bodhisattva is both of the world and not of the world" is briefly highlighted, and below he discriminates its characteristics. A bodhisattva of good destinies who does not yet know, see, or perceive is called "of the world"; from the lineage [stage] and above, being able to know, see, and perceive, they are described as "not of the world."
