6.130

前中，初明自利行異，「若我弟子受持讀誦《大涅槃經》有破戒」下外化行異。自中有三：一明菩薩始修三學，修在地前；二「以修慧故，所受持戒牢固」已下約就三學明其行修次第成義，成在地上；三「菩薩淨戒五法佐」下辯明菩薩能成所以。

In the former part, it first clarifies that the practice of self-benefit is distinct; from "If my disciples, upholding, reading, and reciting the Great Nirvāṇa Sūtra, violate the precepts" downward, that the practice of transforming others is distinct. Within the self-[benefit practice] there are three parts: first, clarifying that the bodhisattva initially cultivates the three trainings, which cultivation occurs prior to the grounds; second, from "Because of cultivating wisdom, the precepts they have undertaken and uphold are firm and solid" downward, explaining the meaning of their gradual accomplishment in practice in terms of the three trainings, which accomplishment occurs upon the grounds; third, from "The bodhisattva's pure precepts are assisted by five dharmas" downward, explaining the reasons why the bodhisattva is able to accomplish this.
