6.131

初中，先戒，次定，後慧。戒中四句：一因前思惟便得正知，知由淨戒；二因知正修，故於未來戒常清淨；三明修利，以戒淨故，常無憍慢、邪見疑網，終不言佛畢竟涅槃；四「是名」下結。

In the first part, first come precepts, next concentration, and afterwards wisdom. Within precepts there are four phrases: first, because of the prior contemplation, one attains correct knowledge, knowing it is through pure precepts; second, because of knowing correct cultivation, one's precepts will constantly be pure in the future; third, clarifying the benefit of cultivation—because of the purity of precepts, one is constantly free from arrogance, wrong views, and the net of doubts, and never says the Buddha ultimately enters nirvāṇa; fourth, the conclusion from "This is called" downward.
