In the praise of benefiting others, "great benevolence and great compassion" praises his mind to benefit others; from "following the birth of good" onward praises his actions to benefit others. Actions are divided into the three karmas: "following the birth of good" and so forth praises the Buddha's bodily karma; "speaking knowing the proper time" and so forth praises the Buddha's verbal karma. Within the Buddha's verbal karma, "speaking knowing the proper time, not speaking when it is not the time" means his speech can respond to faculties; "true speech" up to "singular speech" means the substance of his speech is pure: "true speech and pure speech" explains that he does not speak falsely—corresponding to the matter is called "true," and according with the mark is called "pure"; "wondrous speech" alone explains that he does not speak harshly; "meaningful speech and dharma speech" explains that he does not speak frivolously—speech that can benefit people is called "meaningful speech," and speech that can accord with the Dharma is therefore called "dharma speech"; "singular speech" explains that he is not double-tongued; "causing beings to be free from distress" means his speech can benefit beings. "Knowing the faculties of beings" and so forth praises the Buddha's mental karma: knowing beings' dispositions and faculties, and understanding the mental vessels of creatures. Below, he knows the Dharma medicine: "adapting expedient means according to suitability, leaving nothing uncomprehended" is his expedient wisdom; "his wisdom is high" and so forth is the Buddha's real wisdom—his stage being supreme is called "high," his wisdom being able to fathom dharmas is called "deep" and "broad," and his wisdom being able to extinguish hindrances is therefore like a diamond destroying all evils. From "now" onward, he shows the location.
