前問次答，「德王白」下德王領解，「誠如聖教、一切不定」領佛前言，「以不定故，當知如來亦不畢竟入於涅槃」領佛前意，以斯驗求前說不定，宗顯如來不畢竟滅以成上義。

First is the question, next is the answer. From "Virtue King said..." downward, Virtue King expresses his understanding. "Truly it is as the holy teaching says, everything is non-fixed" expresses understanding of the Buddha's previous words. "Because of being non-fixed, one should know that the Tathāgata also does not ultimately enter nirvāṇa" expresses understanding of the Buddha's previous intent. Verifying and seeking through this what was previously said about being non-fixed, the principal purpose is to reveal that the Tathāgata does not ultimately perish, in order to establish the aforementioned meaning.
