次明思惟，文別有二：第一約就十二因緣對治之法明繫念思、二約三三昧對治之行明繫念思。前中先喻，「病聞醫教及藥名字不能愈病」喻簡前聞，「以服得差」喻須後思。次合，後結。後中，初問「復以何義名繫念思」，次辯，後結。辯中，初言「謂三三昧」略以標舉，次列、後辯。

Next it clarifies reflection. The text specifically has two parts: first, clarifying binding mindfulness and reflecting regarding the dharmas of antidotes of the twelve links of dependent origination; second, clarifying binding mindfulness and reflecting regarding the practices of antidotes of the three samādhis. In the former, first is the simile: 'A sick person hearing the doctor's instructions and the names of the medicines cannot heal the disease' is a simile excluding the previous hearing; 'by taking it, one is cured' is a simile for the necessity of subsequent reflection. Next is the application, and then the conclusion. In the latter, it first asks, 'Further, by what meaning is it called binding mindfulness and reflecting?'; next it explains, and then concludes. In the explanation, it first says, 'meaning the three samādhis,' briefly indicating them; next it lists them, and then explains them.
