Below, liberation is identified with the Tathāgata and so forth, for the Buddha-dharmas are immeasurable; yet here they are mutually identified in terms of seven approaches for the moment. "Exhaustless" is the empty space of dharma-nature; "decisive" is wisdom. Truly because these share the same essence while being distinguished in meaning, they can be mutually identified. Since this approach is so, the ones above should also be like this, but they are not discussed exhaustively. What is difficult to understand is clarified again below. What is difficult to understand? Earlier, it was proclaimed that receiving the three refuges appears to be distinct, yet it is also said that liberation is the Tathāgata and so forth, appearing to be one. Unity and difference are mutually contrary, hence this must be explained. Furthermore, it was said earlier that on account of the three refuges one attains peace and bliss, which might be confused with feelings of pleasure; hence the difference is clarified below. There are two questions and answers: the first question and answer explains and clarifies the meaning of unity and difference regarding the three refuges; the second question and answer clarifies that bliss is not a feeling.
