第三、寶亮師亦云不可翻。彼序云：涅槃是出世法總名，貫眾法之通號。然此之語乃方土之音，聖既出彼國，此亦無名以正翻，但文詶況指，義釋而已。

Third, Master Baoliang also said it cannot be translated. His preface says: “Nirvāṇa is the general name for transcendent dharmas, the common designation running through manifold dharmas. Yet this term is the sound of that land; since the Sage appeared in that country, here too there is no name to properly translate it, but only literal responses, analogical pointers, and semantic explanations.”
