述曰：答第二問中有三：略標、廣說、總結故。此初也。《阿脩羅經》云「琉璃光菩薩遇智勝佛初發總願，寶頂佛所始發別願。」《十方諸佛現前經》云「青龍光佛所發十二誓願」。

The commentary states: In answering the second question there are three parts: brief indication, extensive exposition, and general conclusion. This is the first. The Asura Sūtra states: 'When the Bodhisattva Vaiḍūryaprabha encountered the Buddha Jñānābhibhū, he first made general vows; in the presence of the Buddha Ratnacūḍa, he first made specific vows.' The Sūtra of All Buddhas of the Ten Directions Manifesting Before One states: 'He made twelve vows before the Buddha Nīlaprabha.'
